What’s the one thing almost every pub, club, cafe, and restaurant have in common? No matter the menu you can always find a bloody good burger.

Whether it be chicken, beef, or even a veggie patty, it’s safe to say the nation’s capital loves a good burger. But the real question is, where can you find the best one?

That will be answered on September 22, when the ACT Australian Hotels Association hands the 2025 Award of Excellence to one of seven potential local candidates.

According to AHA ACT General Manager Chris Gatfield, “the burgers that made it to the finalist list in this year’s awards are in a category all their own.”

“These burgers are the most photographed items on social media so they do look good, but at the end of the day it always comes down to the taste.”
