The Kristen and Nige Show spoke with Chief Minister Andrew Barr and ACT Liberals leader Mark Parton following the release of an Integrity Commission report into the Campbell Primary School upgrade.

The report found serious corrupt conduct by former staff members connected to Yvette Berry, but made no adverse findings against Berry herself. She has since resigned from Cabinet and will sit on the backbench.

Barr said the Commission’s findings were “serious” and acknowledged that “the conduct of the individuals found in this report has let the community down”. He said ministers should not be involved in deciding who wins government contracts.

Parton described the report as a “kick in the guts to ACT taxpayers” and said the findings should “echo out in the suburbs”. He said the report raised questions about the way government procurement is handled.
