Could this finally be the stadium Canberra has been waiting for?

Canberra Airport is helping drive plans for a roofed, all-weather stadium near Regatta Point, capable of attracting major concerts and events that currently skip the capital.

Managing Director Stephen Byron says the group wants to produce a design and cost options within four to six months, with the stadium potentially built within four years if governments back the proposal.

Stephen Byron goes on to say, “We want to get this thing built and going quickly,”.
