Canberra Monopoly: Who did it better?

The official Canberra Edition of the wildly popular (and probably just as equally despised) board game Monopoly has finally been released, after years of waiting for eager fans.
Among those, who’ve long looked forward to this week’s release, is myself – in fact it’s been more than 10 years in the making.
It was back in 2014 when, as a student at Tuggeranong’s St Mary MacKillop College, a localised version of a Monopoly board served as the inspiration for an assignment submission in my high school graphic design class.
Above is the design I created back then.
A lot can change over a decade, including the loss of many once prominent local brands, as can be seen with the 2014 inclusions of ‘Action’ and ‘TransACT’.
However that’s just one of quite a number of evident difference between the board I created when I was 17-years-old and what’s officially been released.
