A bunch of funding has been announced by the ACT Government for infrastructure projects in the nation’s capital.

Some of which has been dedicated to plans around a new stadium in Bruce. A stadium that could sit around 30,000 punters.

The perfect venue for big names coming to Canberra.

The funds will be provided through the Budget Review for three precincts around the capital.

First up, a study into the development of a new rectangular stadium in Bruce, as part of an expanded sports, health, and education precinct.

Design work will commence for a new Convention Centre Precinct in the City, which will include new convention centres and an indoor Entertainment Pavilion suitable for live music and major indoor sporting events.

EPIC will be redeveloped as part of the project, with plans in the works to create a new large multipurpose exhibition hall to accommodate large crowds of thousands of people.
