Fiji Airways is suspending its direct flights from Canberra next year.

Canberra Airport says it’s due to factors such as global uncertainty and increasing fuel prices.

The airport’s head of aviation is confident flights will resume once things settle down overseas.

But in the meantime, the airline has reportedly told customers the service will be suspended from 5 February.
