A local woman has taken a chance on herself in the most daring way possible!

Laura Johnston was working at the Royal Canberra Mint before deciding to throw in the towel and move into comedy.

You may think keeping a “stable” job would have been the better option while doing comedy on the side, but for Laura it was more important to put her all into the comedy.

She has gone from sketch comedy in uni to a stand up in set call “That’s… Brave” in Edinburgh, even competing in the Beat The Frog to see if she’d get boo’d off stage or given chance.

She spoke with Wilko & Courts on Hit 1047 this morning about how she did:
