Something that us as Canberrans know too well is animal collisions on our roads. The reports found the risk of hitting an animal increased between April and September, with July recording the highest number of claims around the country in 2025.

The highest risk location for animal collisions accounts for 25 per cent of all claims reported. Rod and Gabi had a feeling the number one spot would be the capital but are they correct?
