Centrally located at the Denman Village Shops, this new venue will exceed your expectations on all levels. This place screams LOCAL as soon as you walk through the door. From the prominent exposed Canberra red brick walls, to the array of locally sourced wines and beers, this gastro pub proudly reflects the nation’s capital on so many levels.

Now let’s get down to business and talk FOOD! This place is all about the farm-to-table experience. The choice is yours though, you can choose to select something a tad refined, or opt for the usual pub classics, either way you will not be disappointed. For this reason, The Denman Kitchen & Bar makes this place perfect for everyone. Whether you are looking for a place to catch up with friends for a casual dinner or looking for somewhere to take the family for a meal out, this place caters for all.

We decided to go with the chef’s recommendations and were WOWED by the dishes. In no time at all, we were beautifully presented with the deconstructed beef wellington, duck leg hoisin and home-made gnocchi with assorted exotic mushrooms. What you can expect to taste is the quality of produce, cooked to perfection. Take a moment to eat with your eyes first, before devouring every last morsel. All three dishes are a must try when visiting this venue.

The Denman Kitchen & Bar is run by none other than the Canberra famous Two Before Ten Group, which means the offering is once again focussed on sustainable dining at affordable prices. You heard us right! This means if you decided to pop into the venue for a casual drink, then decide to stay for dinner, it won’t break the bank. Their commitment to sustainability also continues through their beverage list, offering all things local. The staff are passionate, proud and knowledgeable which takes your dining experience to the next level. Andy and his team know everything there is to know about every wine listed on the menu. As an added bonus, the wine by-the-glass menu changes weekly which means you can taste your way through the Canberra district until you find the perfect moment when you fall in love with a local wine!

The Denman Kitchen + Wine Bar is open Sunday to Wednesday from 12pm-9pm and Thursday to Saturday from 12pm-10pm.
