Should Canberra host the 2032 Olympic Games?

The Queensland Government has reportedly investigating the possibility of pulling out of hosting duties for the 2032 Olympic Games.
Brisbane is set to stage the event in eight year’s time but politicians have faced backlash over stadium plans that has seen an independent review propose the scrapping of a $2.7 billion rebuild of the Gabba, in favour of making a $3 billion dollar brand new stadium.
Queensland Premier Steven Miles has seemed skeptical in the past, saying he’s concerned about the final cost of the project.
It comes after Victorian Premier Dan Andrews announced in August last year that Melbourne would no longer be hosting the 2026 Commonwealth Games.
