It’s the twist (and relief) no one saw coming.

The ‘body’ believed to have been found in a suitcase in Oallen, north-east of Canberra, is not human remains.

Police confirmed in a press conference on Monday that it was in fact a life-like doll.

“Some good news here that we don’t have a suspicious death of a human on our hands,” Superintendent Linda Bradbury said.

“We can confirm that the remains found at Oallen Ford Road, Oallen yesterday are now identified as not being human.

“They were mistaken for a human originally, they are very realistic.”
