The AIS Arena is back and the Canberra Cannons could be next?

It’s been home to countless international artists, sporting events and even the occasional COVID vaccine and now the long awaited return of the AIS Arena is not far away.
We’ve been given confirmation the venue has been booked for at least one upcoming gig in October this year.
The iconic site shut its doors for the last time back in 2020, needing to undergo multi-million dollar upgrades in order to keep operating.
ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr joined the Mix106.3 drive show ‘CBR Wrapped’ to discuss the exciting news, including the possibility the return of Canberra’s largest indoor venue could also lead to a revival of the city’s former men’s basketball team the Canberra Cannons.
