28 year old consultant Andrew Myssonski will run a marathon a day for 29 days to raise money for mental health support charity R U OK?
For non-runners, a marathon is a whopping 42.195 kays, and he will run that every day for 29 days.
But where did this idea come from and who would commit to such a challenge?
Speaking to Hit 104.7’s Wilko & Courts Andrew explained where the idea came from…
‘I’d been running marathons for a while and doing triathlons, and a few friends told me they wanted to do a marathon, so I thought great I’ve got a few friends wanting to come along for the ride.
To get more of them involved I thought we’ll do the Canberra Marathon in April, and I could run a marathon everyday for 7 days in the lead up.”
Eventually, the 7 days turned into 29, ahead of Andrew’s 29th birthday.
