Renowned restaurateur Chris Lucas, best known as the man behind the famed Chin Chin restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne, has now set his sights on Canberra.
He’s set to bring a new Mediterranean influenced venue, named Carlotta, to the city later this year.
“I’ve witnessed from afar how exciting and energetic the Canberra food scene has become, and I can’t wait to open Carlotta and work with the incredible array of local producers, growers and hospitality talent.” Lucas said.
Construction of the new venue has already begun at the new Scotts Crossing precinct outside the Canberra Centre with further details around their menu and opening date to be shared later on, ahead of their Spring opening.
It marks the heating up of Canberra’s foodie scene after celebrity chef Matt Moran opened up two new venues in the city just earlier this month.
