There’s talk the promised ACT Home of Football could be moved from Throsby to Bruce.
It’s already known $250 million in the Federal Budget to be released this evening will be allocated to upgrading the AIS, however a recent report has recommended the AIS develop stronger relationships with commercial sporting codes.
By codes, could we mean the A-League?
The Australian Professional Leagues have already flagged they want the A-League men’s competition to expand to Canberra for the 2024-25 season, but where will Canberra’s home of football be?
It follows an approval for the development of the Throsby Home of Football, which the ACT Government will commit $29 million, and Capital Football, who will operate the facility, commit the remaining funds.
