This may not be news to you if you have already had a teenager through school, but as discovered with Wilko & Courts on Hit 1047 this morning, Canberra teens are using Instagram for the greater good.

You may remember going to your year 10 or 12 formal and agonising over the choice of dress or suit and whether people would like it.

Maybe you just remember agonising about your hair and make up and whose house you were going to get ready at.

But these days it’s a whole show and tell even before the event.

The young girls of the capital are sharing their formal dresses on Instagram to make sure there are no clashes, but what happens if there are?
