More than 300 Canberrans have rallied to save Big Splash Water Park from demolition.

Locals formed a huge human circle around the site on Saturday 30 May, with supporters turning out in force. Even a marching band joined the protest to show their support.

Amelia Tattam, chair of the Save Big Splash group, said she was amazed by the turnout and the passion shown by the community. She told Rod and Gabi on Hit 104.7 that she is already excited to start planning the next event to help protect the site.

Rod and Gabi spoke with Amelia about the growing movement to keep Big Splash open and the strong community push to preserve the much loved water park.
