Is Northside or Southside More Generous? The Results Are In!

With the rising cost of living tightening wallets across Canberra, it’s become harder for many to donate to charity.
Hit104.7’s Wilko & Courts decided to take on the challenge of raising funds for a local cause: ‘Pegasus: Riding for the Disabled’. Partnering with Kickstart Expresso, the team devised a friendly competition to see which side of Canberra—North or South—could prove more generous.
Representing the North, Wilko took charge of Kickstart Espresso’s Belconnen location, while Courts held it down in the South at the Fyshwick location.
The setup? A “Ride Thru” for a $15 toastie and coffee (or juice, on the Southside), with every dollar raised going straight to Pegasus, and the food going straight to customers’ bellies.
Round 1: Northside
Starting bright and early, the Belconnen Ride Thru opened at 6 a.m. and saw a strong early turnout. Northside showed up in force, helping to raise $2,100.30 for Pegasus.
Round 2: Southside
In the afternoon, it was Southside’s turn. Courts was pushing for people to come get their deal at the Fyshwick location, where special hours from 3–6 p.m. encouraged Southside residents to step up to the challenge. Southside ended the day raising $1,153.40!
After a day of delicious fundraising, the title of “Most Generous” goes to NORTHSIDE!
If you’re still feeling generous Pegasus are always open for taking donations, just head to their website.
