ACT Firefighters to Tackle ‘Ainslie to Everest’ Challenge
On Saturday, ACT firefighters will take on the ‘Ainslie to Everest’ challenge.
It’s one of ACT Fire & Rescue’s most significant annual fundraising events, supporting the work of Lifeline Canberra.
Firefighters will climb Mount Ainslie repeatedly, covering the equivalent elevation of Mount Everest, which is 8,848 metres.
Plus, they’ll be wearing their breathing apparatus (BA) weighing approximately 15kg.
