Hundreds of Canberrans answered Lifeblood’s urgent call for donors, helping lift supplies from critically low levels to a much healthier position.

But Lifeblood spokesperson Jemma Falconmaye says the job isn’t over, with appointments still available at Civic, Garran and mobile donor centres over the next two weeks.

High hospital demand, fewer regular donors and a difficult cold and flu season have all placed pressure on supplies.
