Canberra’s turning up the volume!
Music lovers, this one’s for you. The National Vintage Guitar Expo is hitting Canberra on Saturday, 11 October at the Harmonie German Club, bringing together the country’s best vintage instruments, rare finds, and legendary sounds, all under one roof. From classic Fenders to hand-crafted acoustics, this is where nostalgia meets serious tone.
Across two massive halls, you’ll find everything from collectible guitars and amps to vinyl, memorabilia, and live demos from some of Australia’s top luthiers. Whether you play, collect, or just love the sound of a guitar being put through its paces, it’s a day to get up close with the instruments that shaped the music we love.
Then, as the sun sets, the vibe shifts from showcase to showtime with The Vintage Sessions, an evening concert featuring blues powerhouse Fiona Boyes, the Jordan Thomas Trio, Don Morrison, and Skip Sail. Expect riffs, raw talent, and a night that hums with vintage energy.
Tickets start from $10 for daytime entry and $30 for the evening show, available now via Humanitix. For Canberra’s music community, this is more than an expo; it’s a celebration of craftsmanship, sound, and the stories behind every string.
