Double your impact for Canberra’s animals!
RSPCA ACT is calling on the Canberra community to rally behind its most important fundraising event of the year—Give to Get Them Home, taking place this Thursday, October 2nd.
The organisation has faced unprecedented challenges over the past year, including rescuing and rehoming over 300 puppies, a relentless kitten season, and mounting maintenance issues at its aging facility. Despite these hurdles, RSPCA ACT staff and volunteers have continued to deliver life-saving care and rehabilitation to animals in need.

CEO Michelle Robertson says the donation-matching campaign is a chance for locals to make double the impact. “This is the one day where you will truly make a difference,” she said. “Support from the ACT community is what predominantly funds us, and we’re very fortunate to have such wonderful support.”
Every donation made on October 2nd will be matched dollar-for-dollar until the matching pool—provided by generous national and local partners—is exhausted. Early donations are encouraged to ensure matching.

Heartwarming stories like George the newborn poodle mix found in a bin, Wednesday the flea-infested kitten who needed a blood transfusion, and Merida the shy mum who spent 317 days in care before finding her forever home, highlight the critical work RSPCA ACT does every day.
