While the headline may be a little misleading, as in we doubt these guys will be going back in time to perform Comedy at the Canberra Irish Club, but what they will be doing, is playing for the mighty Canberra Raiders in the upcoming NRL season!

So we introduce the following new players..

Matty Nicholson – this English import is not to be confused with a one-test wonder fast bowler who represented Australia in the Boxing Day Test of 1998 against the old enemy, England. This 21 year-old will be playing in the back row and has already represented England twice in his young career.. he has also learnt about the ferocity of Australian sun, getting burnt in first training session for Green Machine.

Myles Martin – joins the other Martins, Noah and Jordan.. no relation, in the Raiders pack for not only this season, but at least two more after that. This future leader hails from Bathurst and has represented the NSW Blues at Under 19s level.

Savelio Tamale – AKA ‘Sav’ made his NRL debut for the Dragons in their final game of last season, ironically, against the Raiders. Big things are expected of ‘Sav’ at the Green Machine, who will push for a starting position in the outside backs. He also represented the NSW under 19s side.

Ethan Sanders – This former Parramatta half was highly sort after, and after long being rumoured to be heading to Canberra, he’s finally here! Prior to making his NRL debut for the Eels, guess who he played for.. that’s right, a victorious NSW under 19s team. I sense a recruitment tactic here.
