Canberra got caught up in Socceroos fever over the weekend, and the city showed up.
Following Australia’s big World Cup win over Turkey, pubs across Braddon and Civic were packed with fans chasing the atmosphere.

One caller said they started watching at home… but after the first goal, it didn’t last long.
“I had to get to a pub,” they said, heading into Civic, where the place was already packed and pumping.

From Grease Monkey to Assembly and Civic Pub, it was a sea of green and gold, with crowds loud all over the city, and with more games coming up, Canberra might not be done yet.
