Soccer season has arrived in Canberra

Canberra United are back in full force, as the A-League season returns this weekend.
The girls in green are heading to SA to kick things off against Adelaide on Sunday before their first home game of the season against Perth Glory in Round 3 on 4 November.
That’s also when we’ll also get our first look at the side’s new get-up in action, launching a new home kit for the this year’s season:

It’s hoped bigger crowds will be seen at A-League matches throughout the season this year, following on from the success of the Matildas World Cup campaign just a few months ago.
The Canberra United side is currently the only team to represent the ACT in Australia’s top level soccer (or football) competitions.
However, plans are underway to bring a men’s team into the Capital in time for the 2024-25 season.
