Despite their tendency to climb the charts at record speed, however, baby names fade away much more quietly.

It comes at the same time that McCrindle Research reveals the top boys and girls names from 2023.

Oliver topped the list for the 11th year running, Noah and Henry rounding out the top three.

Isla claimed no.1 spot for girls, Charlotte, Olivia and Matilda popular as well.
