The Canberra Kids Book That Keeps Helping Make A Difference

A special children’s book created for Canberra kids in hospital is marking its first birthday, and it’s still helping to raise money for local families through Give Me 5.

Written by Nigel and the team, the book was created to bring a little more comfort, fun and Canberra magic to kiddies during their hospital stay. It’s still stocked, with every cent from purchases going to the Canberra Hospital Foundation to support children and families right here in Canberra.

The book imagines familiar Canberra landmarks as secret signs of support for kids in hospital, reminding them that the whole city is behind them. It’s a small but meaningful way to help make a tough time feel a little less scary.

As Give Me 5 continues this month, we encourage you to donate and help fund practical comforts for local kids in hospitals, from iPads and murals to comfy chairs in the NICU and other items that can make a real difference to an otherwise hard time.
