It was a big weekend for Bungendore, with the Brumbies bringing their opening-round Super Rugby AUS fixture to the town.

Meanwhile, the pre-game fixture saw hometown club Bungendore Mudchooks take on Tuggeranong Vikings in the Brumbies Shield final.

To celebrate the events, the local IGA got creative.

They offered a sale of mudcakes and barbecue chooks – to pay tribute to the local Mudchooks.
