An American butcher revealed his theory for butcher sales of meat during a cost-of-living crisis.

The theory is that when people are struggling to pay for things (aka everyone right now coz of the inflation situation) they tend to lean towards buying sausages over the more expensive cuts of meat/poultry like steak and chicken.
