Vinnies tell their side of the story following announcement of Green Shed closure

The Green Shed’s shock announcement that it’s closing all 4 locations has local community groups worried.

Vinnies will take over the Hume and Mitchell Warehouses, after being named the successful tenderer.

However Scouts ACT has spoken out, concerned about the continuation of funding for local community projects provided by the Green Shed.

Scouts ACT Chief Commissioner Brett Juratowitch was concerned Vinnies would be raising money for their own programs, meaning groups like theirs will get less support.

However, Hit 104.7’s Wilko and Courts spoke to Phillip Jones, Spokesperson for Vinnies Canberra/Goulburn this morning, to confirm the continuation of funding for community projects.
