The ACT Government has approved changes to local laws allowing zero punishment for pitch invaders at sports events at GIO Stadium or Manuka Oval.

Until recently, pitch invaders were free to jump the fence without fear of punishment.

ACT Attorney General Shane Rattenbury signed off on an application to enforce an 8 thousand dollar fine for anyone who runs on to the field of play during a sporting match.

Hit 104.7’s Wilko & Courts had no idea pitch invaders…or Space Invaders (as described by Courts) could go without punishment….
