The 2024 winter school holidays are nearly upon us for the ACT, and if you’re unsure what to do with the kids this year we’ve got you covered. There are many amazing new businesses, events and olden goldies to keep you and the little ones entertained and having a ball. Check them all out below!

 

Winter in the City – Glebe Park

Ice skating, snow and hot chocolates? From July 6th through until the 21st Glebe Park in the city will host a winter wonderland.

 

Treetops Adventures – Majura

Life amongst the trees has never seemed as fun as this all-weather trip out in the trees. Zipline through the woods, and climb over obstacles whilst suspended up to 15 meters from the ground.

 

National Zoo & Aquarium – Yarralumla

Why not go and visit your furry friends at the National Zoo & Aquarium?

 

Holey Moley & Hijinx Hotel – Canberra City

Having only just opened in the Canberra City in the last few months, Hijinx Hotel and Holey Moley have become incredibly popular spots for both parents and kids. Boasting arcade-like game rooms, great mini-golf courses and a spot for lunch.

 

Limelight Cinemas – Tuggeranong

There’s a handful of family-friendly movies worth seeing at our very own Limelight Cinemas too. Including; Inside Out 2, Despicable Me 4, and, The Garfield Movie.

 

Inflatable World – Kambah

During the school holidays and on weekends the Kambah Indoor Sports Centre transforms into an inflated haven. With a sea of fun different inflated games and obstacle courses for kids and even adults to play on until we’re all tired and ready for bed.

 

Questacon – Parkes

Want to learn something new or show off that even science can be devilishly fun? Then the ol’ reliable Questacon is still an amazing school holiday destination that is fun for all ages.

 

National Dinosaur Museum – Gold Creek

I mean. It’s a dinosaur museum. Dinosaurs are cool.

 

Canberra Raiders Home Games – Bruce 

During the school holidays, the Canberra Raiders have two home games! If you or the kids are fans of the green machine make sure to head on down for an afternoon of rugby league!

BlocHaus – Mitchell & Fyshwick

Looking for a safe, harness-free version of rock climbing? Then BlocHaus in Mitchell or Fyshwick is worth checking out. With school holiday programs and kids-only section this caters to children and adults of all ages and skill levels.

 

Cockington Green Gardens – Gold Creek

If you’ve ever had the fantasy of turning into a giant and destroying all that lies before you. Then sadly we still haven’t found something for that yet, but the Cockington Green Gardens will still make you feel like a giant and is absolutely worth visiting.

 

Yarralumla Play Station – Yarralumla

Mini golf? Farm friends? And a Railway? What has the Yarralumla Playstation not got? Time to show the little ones who the mini golf champion of the house really is.

 

Flip Out – Majura

Way more than just a trampoline park, Flip Out has a Parkour course, a Ninja Course, a cafe and something called a Cyber Tower. What’s that you ask? Well, you’re just gonna have to head down there and find out!

 

Power Kart Raceway – Griffith

Let’s be real, Mario Kart is great, but nothing beats the real thing. Power Kart Raceway is an action-packed day out where you can race your friends and family and finally discover who the best driver is.

 

Kingpin – Canberra City

Kingpin in the city is easily one of the most diverse play places with the widest range of activities. A large arcade, table tennis, bowling, karaoke, pool, and escape rooms! Kingpin is one of the easiest ways to spend a few hours. It even has a bar and offers lunch options for you and the little ones!
