It’s official, Mariah Carey has now defrosted and Christmas is well and truly in the air across Canberra.

Work began on the construction of the city’s geometric Christmas tree this week – located near the Canberra Times fountain in Civic.

The nearby Canberra Centre also already undergoing its annual festive makeover.

Last year’s tree also featured a Canberra themed snow globe at the bottom, however, after being damaged by vandals last year it’s yet to be confirmed whether it’ll be making a return this festive season.
