From the fast-paced world of Formula 1 to the delicate art of croissant-making, Kate Reid’s story is one of passion, reinvention, and resilience. The founder and co-director of Melbourne’s iconic Lune Croissanterie, Kate began her career as an aerospace engineer and aerodynamicist for the Williams Formula 1 team in the UK. But after years in the high-pressure racing world, she realised her dream job wasn’t bringing her joy.

Kate is now sharing her remarkable journey in her new memoir, Destination Moon, a heartfelt story of ambition, burnout, and rediscovering joy through pastry.

She joined Rod and Gabi on Hit 104.7 and Canberrans can hear Kate in conversation with broadcaster Alex Sloan on Wednesday, October 15 from 6–7pm at Kambri Cinema, ANU. Books will be available for signing before and after the event. Tickets at events.humanitix.com/meet-the-author-kate-reid.
