The Canberra Raiders secured the minor premiership over the weekend, in a wonderful climax to their regular season.

With that comes a $200,000 prize kitty, that is up to the club to divvy up. In this instance, $100,000 will remain with the Raiders.

It’s what they are doing with the extra $100,000 that has people talking.

The players have decided to split the prize money equally amongst all 38 players, inclusive of those team members who have not even set foot on field with the main team. This will end up being just over $2.5k for each player.
