The purple scooters you ride through the city on a night out or a Sunday morning cruise are soon to be gone from the streets of Canberra.

After an issue with undisclosed scooters on the streets, the government has said Beam needs to get out of Canberra.

They have until Sunday the 8th of September to stop being usable for clients and they need to be removed by next week.

The orange scooters from Neuron will still be available.
