Outdoor movie season kicks off again in the Nation’s Capital when the Sunset Cinema returns to the Botanic Gardens next month.

Back for its 11th season, The Sunset Cinema will be screening a mix of new releases, family faves and all-time classics over 3 glorious months.

Opening on 23 November, the very first session will see a screening of this year’s most anticipated and highest grossing film – Barbie.

Among some of the other new offerings – Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning and the next instalment in the Hunger Games saga, A Ballard of Songbirds and Snakes.

Moviegoers are welcome to bring along their own picnic blankets and chairs or you have the option of upgrading your ticket to include its own bean bag, or go one better and upgrade to the Sunset Lounge chair which includes a  bean lounge for one, reserved prime viewing area, & bottomless popcorn.

There’s also a fully licensed snack bar on site for a pre-movie bevvy including G&T’s from Manly Spirits Distillery Co and a selection of Aussie wines from sustainable winemakers Oxford Landing as well as all your movie night snacking essentials too like choc tops and freshly popped popcorn before you settle in for the show.
