A luxury candle brand has released a collection inspired by iconic Australian landscapes, which got us wondering: what would a Canberra candle smell like?

The answers ranged from Floriade blooms and wood heaters to sheep paddocks, blue-green algae and even GIO Stadium’s less-than-glamorous olfactory reputation. There were also pitches for candles inspired by Lake Burley Griffin, Commonwealth Avenue Bridge and Ricky Stuart’s Christmas barbecue.
