The trajectory of Canberra United Captain, Michelle Heyman’s life has officially been altered after being announced in the Matildas squad for the upcoming Paris Olympic qualifiers.
The 35-year-old who last played with the squad back in 2018 before retiring from international football, will rejoin the Aussie women’s side in replacement of the injured Sam Kerr.
As the leading all time goal scorer in the A-League Women’s competition, Heyman is more than capable of helping the girls get the job done.
However, until recently, she’d had other, very different, plans for her future.
Find out what she had been working towards and what the call up really means to her, as she chats to the Mix106.3 Drive Show ‘CBR Wrapped’.
