ACT Independent Senator David Pocock has backed calls for increased funding for the nation’s capital.

A federal inquiry released this week has provided a bunch of recommendations for infrastructure improvements across the capital.

The Joint Standing Committee on the National Capital and External Territories investigated ways to promote the significance of Canberra.

The committee reviewed 48 submissions and held multiple public hearings before putting forward the 21 recommendations.

Pocock has spoken out after the recommendations were released, stating the ACT doesn’t get enough funding from the Federal Government, ahead of the Federal Budget next week.
