A new restaurant has opened it’s doors along Lonsdale Street, bringing all the flavours of Vietnam to Braddon. Banme has a huge range of delish dishes for anytime for the day, with everything from their crowd favorite the Crispy Tofu Banh Mi, Crispy Spring Rolls, and the Banme Chao with crispy bacon, double-fried eggs, meatballs, pickles and pate. The best kind of comfort food.
Did we mention the refreshing taste of their Avocado and Coconut Smoothie, and Lychee Iced Tea?
The eating spot is a venture between Kathy Phan and Tommy Nguyen, with Nguyen being in the hospitality industry for over 15 years. The recipes passed down through three generations, from the Nguyen and Phan families. A unique touch you notice after tasting the feel-good food.
The restaurant is named after the town of Ban Me, which lies in the heart of Vietnam’s Highlands. Tommy and Kathy’s dishes will transport you there, each meal created by Tommy and his team, and don’t forget to try Kathy’s special recipe Spring Rolls! It’s the epitome of a small family business, with Tommy’s brother working in the kitchen as well.
BanMe is at 15 Lonsdale Street in Braddon, behind Waves Car Wash.
