If you’ve ever thought about getting a dog, this might be your sign.

Greyhound Adoption Day is happening in Mitchell this Sunday, with more than 20 dogs turning up ready to meet potential new owners. Visitors can spend time with the greyhounds, chat with the adoption team and learn what they’re really like as pets.

The event runs from 9:30am to 1pm at All Round Good Hounds, and it’s completely free to attend. You can even bring your own dog along to meet them.

Adoption fees have also been cut down to $75 for the day, making it one of the easiest ways to take home a new best mate.

Even if you’re just curious, it’s worth dropping in, although you might leave with more than you planned.
